Job Purpose The Department of Transport and Public Works, Western Cape Government has an exciting employment opportunity for a competent individual to render a verification and data capturing data capturing service to the office of the Regional Foremen. This post is stationed in Oudtshoorn.
Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
Recommendation Previous experience in working with a Maintenance Costing System or similar.
Key Performance Areas Controlling of information on logsheets; Capture: Issue notes; Overtime logsheets; Data from available records into the required formats e.g. databases, table, spreadsheet; Verify, query missing data and errors observed during data entry; Review and validate all data from the records; Submit data; Make regular backups of data; Update registers and statistics; Keep and maintain records and files; Ensure records and files are properly sorted and secured; Provide information to components.
Competencies A good understanding of appropriate computerised systems and packages; A basic knowledge of spreadsheets and Databases.Proven computer literacy (MS Office). Skills: Interpersonal; Communication skills (Verbal & Written); Numeracy & Literacy.
Remuneration R 145 281 per annum (Salary level 4) Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer (CTE) remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations (OSD), the middle-management service (MMS) and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund contributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees’ service benefits or obligations are funded or co-funded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
